Research
My research interests are narrative, play and toys, and they were at center of the work I did in the Interactive Institute Narrativity Studio
and before that at Konstfack.

Issues:
• Toys as a medium for narrative.
• Play in children/ play in adults.
• Narrative in interactive media.

As part of the Interactive Institute Narrativity Studio I led the project Narrative Toys, with the aim to explore digital toys as a medium for storytelling. More information about the project can be found at the project website. Link available in meny to the left.

Some of the reports and publications can be downloaded from publications available in meny to the left.

In 1998 I carried out a project on interactive narrative, The Quest
for the Non-Linear Form, as part of the Research and Development program at Konstfack, University College of Arts and Crafts,
Stockholm. In this project I interviewed artists, game designers
and researchers about their views on and experience of narrative in interactive media. The project ended up as a cd-rom presenting a choice of the interviews. I hope to be able to publish a text version of the report at this site in a near future.

At present I am mostly pursuing issues connected to design education – which I hope to be able to tie in to my earlier research around play at some point.
